This is a gorgeous set of bread & butter plates by Haviland Limoges from 1891-1914. They are also marked with the AL anchor, for Alfred Lanternier (same dates). There is a repa

"In 1890 the company was joined by Frederic's son, Alfred Lanternier. Alfred gained experience working in England as a Wedgewood representative. The company changed name to A. Lanternier & Co. They bought another porcelain factory in Limoges." (source: theoldstuff)

The Schleiger blank appears the same as #73 online, but the flowers are shaped differently. Those are cornflower and these look more like morning glories with wider leaves with 3 points.

These have small manufacturer's errors to the undersides that are lovingly covered with hand painted leaves and filled with gold. I've never seen a set like this before!

I have a total of 12, sold in two sets of 6. The less expensive set has two with crack lines and the rest have tiny chips, but I go over things extensively. See image #10 to see what I am describing, outlined in red. They've clearly been there for years and are perfectly usable as is. The more expensive set is free from chips, cracks or noted flaws.

I have several other sets of Limoges pieces or sets with similar brown and blue flowers that will blend beautifully, many out of the same estate although their Schleiger numbers are surely varied.

They are 6 3/8" shops across the top.
