Kokeshi doll vintage creative "Hina Dolls", the Emperors, by Kawase Yuji.

In great condition with their original box.

Born in Kiryu, Gunma prefecture, in 1938, Mr. Kawase uses old loom frames to make his modern 'kokeshi'.
He is a member of the Shinsou arts and crafts exhibition committee, he is currently attempting 'Akaginuri', said to have existed in Maebashi to early Taisho.
His kokeshi are hard to find.

They stand 11 cms / 4.3 inches.
