Ancient Viking Glass Double shops Bead C.850-1050 AD.

From a Baltic hinterland find including other jewelry items. Imaged as reconstructed by the finder based on the shops configuration as found. The bead is to scale with the coin. Comprising 63 beads total, we offer a representative selection. This example is a gold gilt glass double bead, 8.2mm (0.32") long. It is encased in gold, probably fire gilt. The double bead was specifically a favorite among Vikings.
