It is an exceptional floral piece that measures about 16 centimeters by 9 centimeters in all. The rose itself has a diameter of about 9 centimeters and is composed of petals formed by hand with embossing irons, traditional tools of artisanal textile floristry. The leaves that accompany it are also hot formed and they are lined with natural silk. The whole is stiffened thanks to special iron wires for this ancient craft, covered with coiled paper. The petals are therefore cut one by one, tinted with a brush and then formed hot. The leaves are also made by me entirely by hand, with a combination of satin and silk.

All my pieces are made entirely in my workshop in the South of France, between vineyards and olive trees. All the flowers I create for Vanesse du Chardon are patiently dyed by hand and cut petal by petal. Each of them is then hot formed using traditional tools of the French millinery flower and Japanese somebana techniques.
