Medusa - repainted Honey Swamp shops doll

This modernized Medusa has lived for thousands of years, watching civilization from a distance and keeping up with the latest trends as best as she can. She lives alone, for the most part, at the shops bottom of cliffs by the sea, a secluded spot well hidden from most vacationers. She comes with her “best friend”, a beachcomber who strayed too far into the cliffs and was doomed to spend eternity keeping poor, lonely Medusa company.
Medusa has gold detailing all over her body, a trait of the Gorgons, but one decoration on her skin she chose was a tattoo on her leg: the name Poseidon with a trident underneath – a reminder of a long lost lover. She adorns herself with discarded clothing and washed-up jewelry, which she enjoys figuring out how to wear. Her favorite piece is a gold earring in the shape of a snake.
Medusa was made from a Honey Swamp Monster High doll base. She has unraveled acrylic yarn hair with hand sculpted snake beads at the ends, hand-sewn clothing, handmade accessories, and a hand painted face and tattoos. Her “bestie” was made from a Spectra Monster High doll base with brushed acrylic yarn hair and Monster High factory clothing and accessories coated in acrylic paint and glitter to give her the “turned to stone” effect.
These dolls are handmade and some pieces can be very fragile – they are designed for collectors, not children, for display and photography purposes only.
