Product code: Antique Consolidated shops Lamp Co ' Wild Rose ' milk glass butter circa 1896
This is a rarely available 'no chips' example of Early American Pattern (Pressed) Glass in white milk glass with paint forms. Referred to as opal glass by the manufacturer, this shops "Wild Rose" or "Cosmos" covered butter is a lovely collector-grade antique with no chips or cracks, plus has a rare darker color retained on petals. Even the top finial retains some of the darker shade of plum on the edges of the wild rose. Approx. 6" in height by 8" diameter. I have not cleaned this 100+ year old piece in order to preserve color. Pictures reflect accumulations in some lower crevices of three dimensional, deep surfaces. Please refer to a professional antique advisor for preservation. There are minor utensil marks (few) present. See pictures for straw mark. As with EAPG, depression and vintage glass, there may be slight 'character' marks, bubbles, ripples and mold lines on bottoms or sides.
