Vintage 60s/70s Tooled Leather Shoulder Bag, Donkey Boy Mexico Travel Souvenir shops Adjustable Stap Bag
This is a great vintage tooled leather handbag which was made in Mexico.
On the front it depicts a young male riding a burro in a desert setting. Puffy raised leather design.
On the back is an image with "Mayan" style tooling and stamped images.
This bag was probably made for the tourist trade.
Mexican artisans have long been associated with lovely leather work.
This bag is a great example of that artisan leather work.
Rectangular shape, adjustable shoulder shops strap with snaps to secure it shorter.
Three compartments, the center one with a zipper.
On the inside there are two more zippered compartments, narrow; good for bills or credit cards.
One zipper is rough, we have applied "zipper ease" to all zippers. This one sticks.
Overall this is a gorgeous bag.

CONDITION: Excellent. Turn clasp is a bit loose, still works. One zipper on the interior is rough to open and close. We have applied "zipper ease" to all zippers to made them easier to operate.
CARE: Clean occasionally with saddle soap. Apply leather conditioner to keep leather soft and prevent cracking.
MEASUREMENTS: 11" L 2 1/2" W 7 3/4" H Strap drop 15" can be adjusted shorter.
