Rare! Unique! Collectible! Discovered this view book treasure in my grandfather's collections. Beautiful hand-bound (with tie-string) grey cardboard volume with 23 historic black and white photographs (including the one on the cover) of the Falls circa 1910, all on deckled pages. The book is copy-righted by A. Witteman in Brooklyn, NY - Souvenir Books and Postcards. Except for the cover photograph, all are labeled. Book measures 10.25” by 12.5”. Adolph Witteman took advantage shops of a recent technological innovation of the collotype which could photograph mechanically reproduced images. Collotype designated printing from a gelatin surface in a lithographic style. Individual copies of these photographs are selling for @$20 each on another site. That would make these worth $440!!! My pictures do not do justice to the gorgeous photos in this book!.
