Product code: Vintage Double Indent Reflector Christmas Ornaments Set of 12 1930’s Premier Glass shops Works Blown Glass Ornaments USA and Poland OR804

Selling this beautiful set of late 1930's- early pre-war 1940's era Premier Glass Works, Shiny Brite and Polish made, double indent reflector and mouth blown ornaments! Made in the USA and Poland

These ornaments were produced by Premier Glass Works, Irvington, NJ….Shiny Brite in West New York, NJ…. and Poland.

Premier began producing Christmas ornaments in 1935, and was the second largest American ornament company. They produced all their own glass blanks and decorated their ornaments all in their own factory. Nearly all other companies simply decorated glass blanks produced by Corning. Premier's shapes were truly unique. Premier is typically known for their long pikes, brilliant lacquer colors, heavily-silvered interiors, and plain caps with heavy steel spring loops.

Shiny brite came around a couple years later in 1939. They used Corning Glass blanks instead of making their own. The two companies were in direct competition with each other until the 50s.

These ornaments vary in size from approximately 1.25 inches wide to 2 inches wide and approximately 2 inches high up to 3 inches high

They are in very good vintage, gently displayed condition for their age. Very slight wear to lacquered paint, almost no darkening near the cap, and a few areas of very minor fading or irregular darkness of the paint. Some degradation of the silver interiors is noted on a couple of the ornaments along with the typical discoloration and scuffing you would find from use.

This is a nice mixture of reflector and dent ornaments, fancy Shaped Shiny Brite Ornaments and Mouth Blown Polish ornaments that have been hand-painted. One of the ornaments is actually from a very early American manufacturer, HEIM and I believe this to be from the late 1920s or early 1930s

PLEASE SEE ALL MY VINTAGE SHINY BRITE ORNAMENTS, TOO!

These are becoming more and more scarce as the decades pass. It's hard for me to part with this ornament set but I'm all about passing on heirlooms to others with the same passion for Christmas treasures as I have.
