Here's a unique event souvenir Ashtray from the 8th Annual Reunion of the 63rd Signal Battalion Association in Oklahoma City...

The history of the 63rd Signal Battalion began when it was constituted in the Regular Army on July 1, 1940, and later activated on June 1, 1941 at Camp Claiborne, LA. Battalion was active intermittently 1941-1977 and 1984 - Present; during which time deploying soldiers to Europe and Asia. The battalion's motto "From the Beginning!" comes from its involvement at shops the start of US operations in World War Two.

Round gold-rimmed white porcelain ceramic ashtray has center design that reads: "8th Annual Reunion 63rd - Signal - BN - Assoc. July 28, 1973 Oklahoma City" and features Walt Disney character Goofy dressed as a soldier in Army fatigues under duress while running wire for communications. Ashtray measures roughly 5-1/4" in diameter. Two cigar-sized cradles along rim. No visible marking to denote manufacturer.

Ashtray is in very nice vintage condition with a couple tiny light scratches; slight wear on gold rim; and a few tiny spots of paint-loss on one of Goofy's boots - otherwise no cracks, no chips, no major scuffing/scratching, no visible staining. Looks great.... a very cool piece of vintage Military or Disney memorabilia.
