D'orlan signed enamel & gold plated fish brooch. Vintage cast gold metal brooch, with a blue and green enamel striped body, a diamante sparkling head and jewelled eye. This is an incredibly lovely example of pieces being produced by D'orlan in the 70's & 80's. Stamped and produced for the D'Orlan costume jewellery brand. D'Orlan Jewellery Ltd. was founded in Toronto, Canada by Maurice Bradden in 1957. In 1984, D'Orlan Jewellers Ltd., formed a partnership with the Nina Ricci fashion power house and united the companies developed a high standard plating process that is of high quality to include a 22 karat triple-plated finish over a pewter base metal that ensures a consistency of colour and glamours gold appearance.
Excellent vintage condition with no major flaws noted, shows typical signs of wear which can include tarnish and small scratches.
