These reading monks are completely engrossed in their book. A beautiful set of bookends from the Dutch company Metawa from Tiel. The pewter monks sit on a wooden bench and have a chrome metal support.
Metawa was a Dutch metal goods company that was located in Tiel from 1923 to 1985. They mainly made utensils from metal and Tiel. Great fame came his with the standing rotating ashtrays. Well-known industrial designers such as Gerard Thomassen, designer of crystal wedding gifts for the royal family, and the American La Gardo Tackett have worked for Metawa.
