Rabbit Hare Saggar Fired Animal Sculpture and sphere 2 pieces is a saggar-fired clay spear with rabbit figure flying (2 pieces: bottle and rabbit top). This original piece has a gorgeous range of colors from reds, browns, blacks, whites, and mauve. Made of stoneware. The base is wheel-thrown and altered while the rabbit is hand sculpted to fit onto the bottle's shops neck. Approximate Dimensions: 16 (H) x 5 (W) x 10 (D). Saggar is a type of unique firing technique in which the two pieces painted with ferric oxide and are fired inside a container which creates the beautiful effects. Would make great centerpiece or a piece on a pedestal for show. Beautiful matte surface which feels very textural in the hands.
