Lovely 1940s classic jet black rayon dress.
This dress is designed of silky cool rayon, feels like a like a bit of a crepe weave, but maybe not..more silky than crepe like.
This has lots of nice design details including diagonal pleating across the bodice, which is mirrored at the hips creating a diamond inset panel, full skirt.
Slightly dropped waist with a built in belt that snaps at the bow.
3/4 sleeves, high shoulder pads with pleating and smocking at the shoulders and ruching with layers of fabric at the cuffs.
A very forgiving and flattering style.
She's been dry cleaned and there are no odors that I can detect.
Label - There is no label but, very well made.
The only issue I am noticing is a small repair at the right armpit, and it's done well about 1/2" long.
This dress is JET black...it is hard to photograph black clothing, so I apologize in advance for the lighter photos.
