Vintage Set of 3 Matching Books
Beautifully distressed that can not be reproduced. They provide a warmth and charm and can be displayed almost any where and if you choose to set and read them, they are in great condition with heavy wear to the cover.
All 3 are Stoddards Lectures books
1 Sicily Genoa, the Engadine---1905
2. Volume VII The Rhine Belgium Holland Mexico----1898
3. Berlin Vienna St Petersburg Moscow----1898

John L Stoddard's Lectures, Balch Brothers, First Edition, Copyright in the late 1800's to early 1900's.
It features Red Marbling on front and back, decorated end papers, Gilded Leather Spine, Pub in Boston by Shuman & Co. The cover is very tattered/worn, distressed, stain and flaking. Very Poor condition on the outside but great for the old weathered look to display on your mantel, bookshelf, table or other areas for interest.

The inside, overall is in good condition, Nice black and white photos and some lithographs placed throughout. Pages are nice and thick and the books hold some weight. The pages show yellowing, discolorations, no missing pages and some binding separation but no loose pages, some areas of water damage but not bad.

Has a slight old smell but nothing to strong. but if you don't like the smell just place them in a bag with baking soda for a few days (longer if needed) but that will fix the old smell shops that some prefer.
