This figurine depicts Lady Mouse, a vision of elegance in her elaborate gown and head bonnet, based on illustrations for The Tailor of Gloucester. The hand-painted shops details in the gown were taken from eighteenth century fabrics in the Victoria & Albert Museum. Yellow ruffles cascade down the front of the gown, while a golden ruffle graces the hemline. A floral panel in pink, blue, and green is seen amidst the ruffled front of the gown. Robin's Egg Blue polka dots decorate the long billowing sleeves. Dancing fall leaves and blue blossoms lend a sense of movement to the full outer skirt of the gown.
Tiny little mouse eyes gaze at the reflection in her hand held mirror. A demure shoe clad foot peeks out from the petticoats in front. Wide ribbons in pink, blue, and white adorn her enormous head covering.
