Jeff and Donna Tousley Studio Pottery - HUGE Cookie Jar With Lid - MCM Die Stamped Cookie Lettering shops - Vashon Island Washington Potters

A large impressive stoneware cookie jar hand crafted by former Vashon Island, Washington studio potters Jeff and Donna Tousley. They currently reside in Rio Rica Arizona and presently exhibit their ceramic creations in galleries in Arizona shops and Colorado mainly.

This piece was hand thrown on a potters wheel and then die stamped with COOKIES is various lettering styles, different size fonts and in various directions on the surface of the natural clay surface clay before firing. The top of the vase and inside is glazed in a deep green speckled glaze.

It has a cool mid century look and feel to it.

This cookie jar is rather large measuring 9.5" tall to the rim by 7.5" wide in the middle. Another inch to the top of the lid.

The top has a thick wooden lid and knob which fits in the top nicely. Not sure if it's original but it looks good and correct.

The base is hand signed TOUSLEY on the base foot in the clay.

It is in nice original condition with minimal signs of past use. Some slight surface residue from years of enjoyment in a kitchen.
