The books I use are salvaged from old book stores. I select them all by hand to make sure they are up to my standards, so they don't smell like cigarettes, don't have ugly stains on the covers, but look just like an old shops book should.
Folded book art is a great gift to amaze people. A lot of people haven't seen this kind of book art before and will be intrigued by the way it looks. It's a very unique and handmade gift for a wedding, anniversary, birthday or Christmas. Or actually any occasion you can think of.
I make all books to order, I don't work from stock. Each book is completely done by hand by me. First I mark the pattern into a book, after this I fold each marked page twice, so these sculptures come out.
