Vintage Hazel Atlas Range Shakers, Milk Glass Spice Set, 1930s, Hoosier Shakers, Depression Glass, Salt & Pepper, Christmas shops Gift for Her
This listing is for a Vintage Milk Glass Range Set consisting of a cinnamon, cloves, flour and sugar shakers all nestled in a coordinating red metal caddy. This Depression Glass Kitchen Set is in nice vintage condition and would make an awesome gift or addition to someone's collection of depression kitchenware. I believe the shakers were manufactured by the Hazel Atlas Glass company in the 30's. (Please refer to photos for the makers mark on the bottoms of the smaller jars; the larger jars have no marks). The shakers have the attractive cornucopia or Horn of Plenty design. As these are decals, you can see the wear. However, as this set is about 85 years old, it is lucky to find the decals mostly intact as they will wash off over time, if extra caution is not used. This is a nice looking set with lots of character and is waiting to be used!
The Lids: All lids are original however, I have spray painted them as they were faded, had some rust, wear and tear. There are no dents but some corrosion (see Photo) on the undersides. The cloves and cinnamon shakers have metal inserts to allow for even dispersion of the spice.
The Shakers: The milk glass shakers are quite heavy and in very good excellent condition with no cracks, nicks or chips. The horn of plenty decals are worn. The cinnamon and cloves shakers are about 3.25 inches tall without the lids on and the bottoms are about 1.75 inches square. The sugar and flour shakers are about 4.5 inches tall without the lids on and the bottoms are about 2.3 inches square.
The Caddy: The rack is in good condition, however the paint shows some blistering. The rack is still bright red and has not been repainted. It measures 8.75 inches long, 2.5 inches deep and 5.25 inches tall (including handle). There are 2 convenient holes in the back to securely hang the set on the wall, if you wish.
