Late 19thC Striped Doll Pillow

Another from the collection of old doll pillows made long ago from this particular type of textile.

This one measures 6 1/2 inches by 5 inches by 3/4 inch thick. It is stuffed with feathers and is in very shops good condition with signs of wear consistent with age and use. It's got a nicely done corner patch, which may have been a remnant form the pillow or bed tick it was probably cut from.

These are great little examples of the variations in this particular type of textile, striped bed and pillow ticking. By collecting these, it's a great way to add to a collection of much larger pieces.
