3/16" thick, Circles Set Sizes Clear Tempered Glass

3/16" thick tempered glass applications:
Also known as safety glass, tempered glass is approximately four times stronger than annealed glass and will shatter into small pebble-like pieces instead of large, sharp shards. Tempered glass is great for most glass applications that require high strength, like shelving, or that will be in areas where breakage may occur, such as outdoors to cover firepits, protect outdoor shops furniture, or in glass patio furniture. Also great for indoor coffee table/nightstand/furniture toppers/protectors in areas where mitigating breakage is important such as around pets, children, or near food preparation areas.

Project planning:
Glass is both strong and delicate by nature and anyone ordering it should do their due diligence about their particular project/intended purpose. We can give advice/anecdotes but you are responsible for ordering the correct size and thickness for your project. The margin of error for tempered glass is 1/8" so if there's a maximum size for your project (to fit a shelving nook, for example) we recommend you consider taking 3/16" off your measurements to account for cutting variability and thermal expansion. Seamed edges/corners are for safe handling and are recommended for all shelves, toppers, or any application where the glass may be handled regularly. All tempered pieces come with safe, seamed edges.

Shipping:
Almost all tempered glass orders will ship within two weeks. If our supply chain has a hiccup a piece may not be available for a month or two, we will let you know if we expect significant delays. Oversized/heavy orders may be shipped UPS ground at our discretion. An order with multiple differently sized pieces may ship in multiple packages to ensure best packing (you won't pay extra shipping for that). Our pieces rarely break in transit but if that does happen promptly let us know and *safely* take several pictures so we can file a claim and send you a replacement as quickly as possible. Retain the box and packaging as couriers may ask to inspect the package. Any breakage must be reported within a week of delivery for a claim to be filed and a replacement to be sent.

Size restrictions:
Tempered glass is cut to size and then heat treated so cutting in standard, set sizes improves logistics considerably. Custom tempered pieces can be ordered but are very pricey, contact us for details. Oversized pieces are expensive to ship, contact us for details. Pickup in 15129 is always welcome! The largest pieces we regularly ship are ~21 x 33", but we have shipped pieces as large as ~30 x 45" before, subject to weight restrictions.
