This board is a one of a kind hand made kitchen board. It is rustic and contains knots, board splits (checks), uneven surfaces and other natural features have been smoothed but not cut out of the shops wood. Because of these features cutting meat on this board isn't recommended. The board has a handle, hang hole, and leather strap so it can be hung in the kitchen or used as a decoration item when not in use. The edges have been rounded. This board is sanded, finished with mineral oil, and ready to use.
The board is approximately 21" long including a 4.5" handle, 8.75" wide, and 1/2-3/4" thick based on the wood that I currently have. Send me a message for pictures of the wood I'll use for your board and the board dimensions.
The wood I'll use for the isn't as rustic as shown in the pictures. However the wood will have minimal sanding/finishing. If you'd like pictures of the wood I'll use for your board, ask me & I'll be glad to send them to you.
Care:
Clean with a damp cloth and soap if necessary. Do not place in dishwasher, microwave, oven, or let stand in water. Clean both sides at once to help prevent warping. Dry with a cloth, stand on edge and allow to air dry completely. Recondition the board with mineral oil on all sides when it looks dry. Wipe off excess oil that hasn't been absorbed after an hour or so.
