Stunning 1930s, 1940s Inky shops Black Silk Velvet Hostess Gown, Tiny Pearl Beads, Coral Embroidery, Bullion Soutache, Sm - Med.

Just....WOW ! This hostess gown shouldn't shops be confined to the house - this needs to go out on the town ! Rich inky black silk velvet has the most beautiful beadwork around the collar and on the two appliques' - tiny glass faux pearl beads , coral tambour embroidery surrounded by rich gold metallic bullion soutache. No missing beads, or loose embroidery or threads, but...there are issues. The sleeves had zippers; just above each is a mend, so-so and could be improved. There is a patch on one inner sleeve; these issues do not show when worn, and are stable....but there is room for improvement. There is one mend/patch on the skirt near the hem, also shown. Moderate shoulder pads, long metal front zipper. Purely old Hollywood glamour. Priced accordingly - but so wearable just as found.
