Deep Dish Pie Plate or Cookie Plate with Painted Cardinal Design, shops Porcelain, Christmas, Holiday, Winter Kitchen Art

This deep dish pie plate is wheelthrown porcelain that I embellished with a freehand painted cardinal. In 2019 I began painting and etching birds onto thinly rolled out clay slabs to shops make into wall pieces. This is the same process but inside a pie plate.

This piece is oven safe (put the pie in a cold oven and let it warm up slowly with the oven to avoid thermal shock). It also works great for serving cookies, holiday treats, side dishes at the holiday table, or use it as a year-round display piece on your kitchen counter.
