Set of 4 Vintage The Banana Splits Cereal Bowl MCMLXIX 1969 Hanna Barbera TV Show. These are rare vintage plastic cereal bowls from The Banana Splits 1969 TV Show. On the bottom is imprinted, "MCMLXIX (1969) Hanna Barbera, Made in USA." The bowl has the heads of Fleegle, Drooper, Bingo and Snork in raised, embossed detail. The color is dark reddish orange. Measures 5 1/2" across the top and 2" tall. Condition: The bowls shops have some scratch marks, and a couple dings here and there, but still very usable. Background: The Banana Splits were four comedic animal characters who featured in a late 1960s children's variety show made for television. The costumed hosts of the show were Fleegle (guitar, vocals; a beagle), Bingo (drums, vocals, a gorilla), Drooper (bass, vocals, a lion) and Snork (keyboards, effects, an elephant).
