Product code: Stagecoach barkcloth, 1940s vintage fabric, 3.8 yards shops for upholstery, home decor
This is a very lightweight barkcloth fabric. I'm not sure of the content, as fabric manufacturers were experimenting with various blends back in the 1940s and 50s. Some of the blends were even patented. Without any writing on the selvedge, there's no way to know which company milled this fabric. It's definitely not cotton, but some kind of synthetic fiber.
Pattern is a stagecoach drawn by a team of horses through trees and flower gardens. Colors are classic barkcloth tones of tomato, forest, chocolate, and chartreuse, all on an ivory background.
This would make wonderful cafe curtains, as it's light enough to catch the breeze of an open window. shops
