This is a super cool 1950s large brown leather and fabric suitcase by Carson, the Travelite model. This is a large-sized suitcase is from the 1950s and it uniquely snaps together on the sides but unfolds flat so you can fit suits or dresses in with less chance of wrinkles. A really brilliant design! The stitching is still in beautiful shape and the leather cleaned up extremely well. The outside shows some age because it has probably been on countless adventures. The label from Cunard Line Stateroom baggage on the Queen Elizabeth tells a wonderful story of where this bag went. The label is in a few pieces but the ones not attached are in an outer side pocket. That is from a luxury cruise ship in the 1950s and the stateroom had an unobstructed ocean view. Very fancy indeed. All locks are in great shape but unfortunately, there are no keys with this gem. All the zippers on the inside and outside move but they could use a bit of oil for smoothness and the inside is super clean. There is also a hook you can release on the outside once you unfold it so you can hang up you luggage like a suit bag. Someone was really shops thinking about luxury travel when they invented this suitcase. It is sure to get noticed in all its vintage glory! Such a glorious vintage find!

This is so fun! This large brown leather and fabric luggage is 22"/56cm wide, 16.5”/42cm tall, and is 10"/26cm deep with side pockets and opened up and laid flat he is 39"/99cm. He's a big one (weighing 8 pounds/3.5kgs on his own).
