This beautiful piece of blue sea glass was found on Mount Desert Island, Maine and made into this lovely wrapped necklace by me. Sea glass is the ultimate use of recycled glass.

My husband and I have been avid sea glass collectors for the many years. At least 90% of our sea glass is found here on the Island. The other 10% is found either on the coast of Maine or Eastern Canada. This particular find is rather rare for our Maine beaches. Most of the blue that is found is not as well cooked (which means it is well frosted). Most of the blue that we have found are smooth and a bit frosted. This is also quite a large piece of blue sea glass.
