French Vintage Foot Warmer ~ Metal Chaufferette shops ~ Portable Heater with Wooden Handle ~

This lovely French vintage Foot Warmer "Chaufferette" in French. It is made in black coated metal with areas of the silver surface exposed in the design of piece and a wooden handle. The top opens and there is a small tray with a handle once used to move easier dispose of the used coals/wood pieces that would burn inside.

This piece has been cleaned and finished with a varnish to prevent further rust. It can be used for it's original purpose to heat a small space or for burning potpourri/candles/incense/citronella, flower display or for storage of small items.

--- Condition ---

In rustic vintage condition. Given the age, there are some surface spots/marks/dings/chips in the paint/rusting in the metal however I believe this is what makes this piece unique and just adds to its rustic charm, beauty and character. It has been clean with normal dish soap and water to remove the black residue. I removed as much of the rust as possible so its clean but still keeping its age. It is no longer sticky and doesn't smell ash.

I ship all my products using the French Postal Service (La Poste). For larger items, I ship using Colissmo (La Poste International service) which includes tracking, minimum insurance and estimated delivery dates (which is normally faster than the processing times in my policy section). If you want additional information about insurance or tracking for smaller items, please contact me for details on the supplemental change.

To be economically responsible and not charge handling fees, when available, I try to use recycled materials for my packaging while being mindful that the materials are suitable to ensure the safest expedition to protect your purchase during the delivery process. I pack very carefully, especially fragile items, but I do check to make sure I'm using the most cost efficient method.
