If you've ever looked in my shop you already know that I love Chinoiserie and 1950s mid-century modern Asian patterns. This is a rather rare tablecloth in a larger size made of medium to heavy weight rayon, the background is a light moss green with medium and darker green design with some gold accents.
It depicts subtle scenes of pagodas and bonsai with a definite MCM atomic border print.
A really beautiful tablecloth.
There are several small flaws that are pointed out in one of the photos, if you look carefully there are tiny lighter spots in the center a bit, they do not deflect from the beauty of this tablecloth.
It has the look of being hand-painted and I wonder if the spots are from being vat dyed?
Measures: 62x52”
All these measurements are approximate.
Please understand this linen is 60 to 70 years old and there could be small blemishes I shops missed.
I do my best to describe it accurately, please know when you buy vintage it will not be perfect unless it's stated that it's in mint condition.
Thank you for your understanding.
I welcome your questions
