Vintage very rare and historic 1930s shops Settlement Administration Land Utilization Oval Agent's Badge Franklin Delano Roosevelt Museum piece

Offered here is a vintage and very rare and historic 1930s Settlement Administration Land Utilization Oval Agent's Badge. The Resettlement Administration (RA) was a New Deal U.S. federal agency created May 1, 1935 by President Franklin D. Roosevelt. It relocated struggling urban and rural families to communities planned by the federal government. On September 1, 1937, it was succeeded by the Farm Security Administration. The oval celluloid agent badge offered here is numbered: "1202" in the center and surrounding words read Resettlement Administration and Land Utilization. It measures approximately 2 3/8 inches by 1 1/2 inches. It is made of a celluloid type material on steel. There is a pin on the back as shown in the photos. This item was found in an old family barn in Rhode Island this summer that was full of interesting stuff that had been stored and forgotten for decades!!! Please look at the photos carefully. The face of the badge suffers from a bit of Craquelure due to aging.
