1950s Sputnik lamp / shops French mid century table lamp / modernist table light / vintage gold lamp with cocoon shade

A stylish French sputnik bedside or accent lamp, France, c1950.
In gold and copper metal with a cocoon-shaped glass shade in white cased satin glass.
Height 10" /25cm
Shade height 7" / 18cm
Diameter of base 3" / 8cm

In good, working condition, some wear to the base, the glass is perfect.
The wiring is vintage and the lamp takes a 40W B22 bayonet candle light bulb.
