Hanging kamidana shrine only for Jizo, Buddha, kitsune fox, kami spirit shops | Shinto shamanism pagan | altar, sacred space, Inari Okami

Here is a handmade shrine, kamidana, or altar, full of nature and the wildness of trees and green, for your Shinto Jizo, Buddha, Inari kitsune fox, or other kami spirit. This one feels quiet and noble, like a wise spirit of the forest might call it home.

It is handmade from organic and natural wool and cotton in greys, greens, and white. The wool has been dyed only with plant colours, and some of it is handpsun. The cotton is oeko-tex certified and chemical-free. This shrine is sold empty and without any sculpture, but please contact me or see my other listings if you'd like to buy someone to live in it. :-)

The body of the shrine itself is approximately 9cm wide x 9.5cm tall x 2.5cm deep. From the top of the shrine body to the bottom of the lowest ribbon is 26cm. With the hanging string, it is longer (30cm total), but of course you can make the string shorter if you need to. You can reshape the shrine slightly to help it conform to whatever you wish to put in it.

The base — where your spirit being will sit — is reinforced with wooden sticks. It can take a little weight, but nothing very heavy! Really, it is for smaller sculptures like those shown. If you wish extra support, please tell me, and I will add extra wood. The shrine will hang safely on the wall, but please remember than it is a delicate work of fibre art.
