Antique The Courtin' by James Russell Lowell and Illustrated by Homer Winslow. This is one of two books ever illustrated by Winslow Homer.
Hardcover bound in green cloth with embossed silhouette against gilt background. The book is in fair condition, damage to front cover image, some loose pages, cracked interior spine, missing tissue guard in front of one of the silhouettes, significant edge ware, top and bottom spine damaged, also some staining- all consistent with age and use. There is no printing shops date, but there is a Christmas gift dedication dated 1873. Please see the attached photos for details.
