Large GALAXY Cosmos Glass Lampwork Bead Bezel Pendant on shops Fine Silver

My name is Val and I have been a lampworker for over 10 years now. Melting glass has been an obsession for all that time.

My beads are annealed inside a digitally controlled glass annealing kiln - this process takes away any thermal shock from the glass which may have occurred during the glass making process - annealed beads are durable and long lasting. Having said that, please do not drop your glass jewellery onto hard floors as the beads may chip or crack. They are glass after all.

I have soldered a fine silver bezel tray to fit the large galaxy round lampwork bead into. A fine silver bail has been soldered onto the back of the pendant.

This piece has taken many hours to make from creating the glass bead in the flame, annealing the bead, sanding it to fit the setting to finally cutting, sanding and soldering the bezel setting. It is 100% handmade by me.

I forge my own fine silver sheets. They are .999 fine silver. The backing is 1mm thick. The necklace is Sterling Silver 20” long.

This gorgeous fine art piece will be posted inside a protective floating display shops case. When you are not wearing the pendant please keep it inside this protective sleeve which will keep the fine silver bright. A silver tarnish cloth will be added to this order.
