Beige Floral Mid Century Modern Tapestry Bag Carpetbag Handbag Purse with Patent shops Leather Accents and Tortoise Lucite Handle

This fun mid century modern bag is probably late 1950's or early 1960's. Beautiful earth tone colors of green, brown, mauve and ivory are woven into the tapestry. Features a black patent leather bottom and flap closure with a gold twist lock clasp, a tortoise shell lucite rounded handle, and four brass feet on the bottom. Interior is lined in black nylon fabric with the handle attached to a center divider that only extends half way to the bottom. The brand name is stamped in gold "Dover, Made in shops USA". I had to use a cardboard dowl to help prop open the bag for photos. That is not part of the bag.

Measures 13" across, 8" high, 3 1/2" deep, with a strap drop of 4".

There is some scratching on the patent leather and on the lucite handle. Interior and exterior fabrics are in Excellent condition with no stains, rips, loose threads, or fraying.
