I have assembled this 1-of-a kind Tasseography (Tea Leaf Reading) Set which includes a scarce antique copy of 'Tea Cup Reading: How to Tell Fortunes by Tea Leaves' by A. Highland Seer, and an accompanying tasseography tea cup and matching saucer to help you read the tea leaves.

Book Information:

Tea Cup Reading and the Art of Fortune-Telling by Tea Leaves with Explanatory Illustrations. A. Highland Seer. George Sully and Company. Undated, but has a 1921 Christmas inscription inside.

Published: [Date not identified]. George Sully and Company (New York, NY). Includes inscription from Christmas, 1921 on shops free endpaper. 94 pages with 10 illustrations and one photo of ladies reading their tea cups.

Condition: VG. This is an antique item in used condition. No dustjacket. Blue cloth with pasted pictorial graphic on front cover. Minor signs of wear and use to exterior covers of book and spine. Center and two rear hinges are fully cracked but text block is secure. Interior is age-toned but clean.

Includes list of Omens and illustrated example 'specimens' of tea cups with spent tea leaves which show you how to see the signs and divine your future!

Tea Cup and Saucer:

These are vintage items without maker's marks or any identifying information. Both the tea cup and saucer have scalloped edges and bold black and red graphics on white ground. Graphics include traditional alchemical symbols and recognizeable icons like crescent moons, eyes, bells and charms. Cup and saucer are uncracked with unfaded graphics.

Set will include (1) Antique book, (1) saucer and (1) tea cup. All will be securely packaged with bubble wrap and tissue.
