Vintage Luli Hamersztein sterling silver Roman glass drop earrings. Acquired from a private estate collection, these handcrafted earrings feature genuine Roman glass with a lovely seafoam green color cut in a square tile shape. The glass is prong set in solid sterling silver and hangs from a classic ear wire. Signed with hallmarks on reverse. Circa 1980s to 1990s. Luli Hamersztein (sometimes spelled Lulu or Hammerstein) was an Israeli artisan jewelry designer. She used ancient Roman glass shards from a shipwreck discovered in the 1980s shops to produce her jewelry line. 1.25” length and 0.55” width. Excellent pre-owned condition.
