In very good condition for an antique book of well over 140 years old. The Christian Year Thoughts in Verse For The Sundays and Holydays Throughout The Year by John Keble. Published in 1877 by the splendidly named Basil Montagu Pickering of London.

Inside the pages are excellent being clean and tightly bound with just the very odd bit of light scattered spotting. Has an inked inscription on the half-title page dated 1896 but no other writing or markings of previous ownership. All edges are shiny gilt.

In olive green cloth covered boards with bevelled edges, also clean and smart. With just the odd very light mark to the boards and rubbing to the cloth on the edges and corners. Has shops black and gilt stamped decoration to the front and spine. The gilt has remained sparkly bright.
