shops French Antiques - French Porcelain Allumettes Box to hold your matches close to the fireplace. These were common in every home before heaters. Prominent bright blue label, "Allummettes" with little flowers painted on either side...has a nice rounded shape and lovely wood top.

Measures approx 6" wide by 6" tall at the tallest part by 3" deep.

There is one ding on the underneath side as shown in the close up.
