Featuring a hand turned hollow bowl/vase made from reclaimed apple wood. Made from the intersection of two limbs, the piece features a wonderful combination of heartwood and sapwood, numerous knots and a natural edge that was scorched with a blow torch. This piece was extremely difficult to turn considering the wood's incredible density/strength. It is a one of a kind piece, there will be no duplicates. Give it to someone "knotty" or nice!
This piece was turned, sanded to a fine sheen, blasted with a blow torch and treated with mineral oil. Finally, the piece was buffed and waxed in a three-step process. Use this bowl to store keepsakes like jewelry or simply display it for the artwork that it is.
Dimensions: 5 1/2" by 4 1/2"
Care: wipe with a clean very slightly damp cloth, buff dry. A dab of mineral oil can be rubbed in to increase luster.
Do not submerge in water or place in the dishwasher shops.
