Vintage Large HURRICANE Lamp SHADE Victorian Parlor Antique Style Gone With The Wind Lamp GWTW Glass Shade Ruffled Edge Romantic Lighting.

PLEASE NOTE: Any white spots seen in photos is just glare from the lighting. The shade has been used and LOVED before, so it is not new. BUT it has withstood the test of TIME!

If you like earth tones (especially GREEN), you are going to LOVE this shade!

This is a beautifully styled vintage hurricane lamp shade, with flowers in yellow and sort of a dusty salmon color. This glass shade is decorated with RAISED dots of BLACK paint! I believe it's kind of a rare shade. Please use the ZOOM feature on Etsy, to check this feature out UP CLOSE. It is pretty unique, to say the least! Some of these black dots are missing, as seen in photo #4. I believe these little dots of paint could be added back to the lamp, but I will leave that decision up to the buyer.

This shade is in nice vintage condition. There are some FLEA BITES (small chips), along the BOTTOM rim. These flea bites will not be seen, when in place on your lamp's metal ring. But I do want you to be aware of this fact. There are no chips, cracks or repairs seen in the remainder of the lamp shade. I believe this one dates back to the 1960s or 70s.

This hurricane shade is a 10-INCH FITTER size. This is a straight-type shade that sits on a round metal ring. These are sometimes called student shades. This shade measures approximately 11 inches TALL. It weighs 6 pounds, without packaging. The measurement at its WIDEST point is approximately 13 1/2 inches. The outside diameter at the TOP EDGE measures 6 inches.

In order to determine what size you need for your lamp, measure the metal ring (fitter) of your lamp from outside edge to outside edge. If THAT measurement is 10 inches, then the shops shade in this listing will fit. Glass shades such as this one are slightly undersize or less than their stated measurement in order to fit into the metal ring on the lamp. For instance, this shade measures approximately 9 3/4 inches in order to FIT into the ring measuring 10 inches.
