Set of 6!
Knabstrup Denmark spice jars from the shops CAROUSEL series.

They are so great these spice jar!
I love the letters and superb 1970s design!

The set includes:
kanel // cinnamon
sennep // mustard
paprika // paprika
karry // curry
krydderi // spices or herbs
peber // pepper

The main colour is beige, the stripes are caramel brown, the letters black.
The wooden lid is given a surface treatment so that it looks darker - corresponds so perfectly with the black letters.

The spice jars were manufactyred by the Danish Pottery Knabstrup.
The line is called CAROUSEL and designed by Signe Boesen Northroup.
It came in four colours versions, brown as seen here, and very rare to find blue, yellow and red.

Knabstrup pottery was situated on the Danish island Sealand, close to Holbæk and was one of the biggest Danish potteries with a very long history. From 1950 to 73 the sculpturer Johannes Hansen who was the artistic leader of Knabstrup and in 1977 it was taken over by Bjørn Wiinblad and who closed the place in 1988.

Very good used condition
The pepper jar has a tiny glaze chip towards bottom.
No chips, cracks or repairs.
A few jars have a little crazing which is normal due to shift in temperature.
