This lovely brooch carries a teardrop shaped Scottish Green Marble stone.
Materials: Handmade in our workshop with 925 sterling silver.
925 Sterling Silver is an alloy of silver containing 92.5% pure silver and 7.5% other metals, usually copper. Fine silver (99.9% pure) is generally too soft for producing large functional objects, and shops in Sterling Silver, the silver is alloyed to give strength whilst preserving the malleability of the silver and a high precious metal content - ideal for making silver jewellery. Sterling silver jewellery is always stamped with a marking to indicate the percentage of silver it contains.
Stone:
Formed over 600 million years ago when molten volcanic rock pushed up from deep inside the earth through the overlying limestone. The area these stones are found is one of the most remote parts in the Highlands and Islands. In Scotland this beautiful stone has been highly revered since prehistoric times. Local people carried small pieces for protection.
The jewel is also called: Jewel of the Fay (Fairies)
Packaging:
The product will be sent in an organza bag along with a business card.
