My mixed media pieces are a journey of discovery. They start with a base layer of collage and if you look carefully, you may find pages from vintage, foreign language, or your favorite classic books, music, origami, hand made, or many other papers. I then do many layers of paint, inks, charcoal, gilding, and other mediums, alternating adding and then revealing what is underneath. I adore the juxtaposition of contrasting patterns/ colors/ textures that I shops discover through this process.

I am drawn to the expressiveness of eyes and so even my whimsical creatures tend to have large eyes that will draw you in.
